Battery locked behind door secured with tamper-resistant screw(special wrench included). Unique restraining flange secures detector to mounting plate to deter unwanted removal. Sensor Life Monitor alerts you when sensor life has expired. Five year limited factory warranty for alarm and battery. The Pro-Tech 7030-SL carbon monoxide detector is listed to ANSI/UL 2034-09 and certified to CSA/IAS 6-96 2nd Edition.
